We ask that animals to be listed here are current on vaccinations and are spayed/neutered before adoption.

Sebastian and Bella

Bella(tuxedo) and Sebastian(white) urgently need to find a new home, as the new landlord does not allow pets. Bella is 3, spayed and weighs maybe 10 pounds, if that, and her brother Sebastian is 2, neutered, and maybe weighs about the same. I would like them to be adopted together because Sebastian is a bit clingy and needs a companion. They would need to be the only pets in the home. They're not used to a lot of noise, kids or dogs. Please email Nisha at nisha.rena92@gmail.com. [Posted 4/12/2024]

Tater

Miss Tater is an energetic, tail-wagging, 3-year-old spayed female looking for her new best friend. She has all her vaccines, is house- and crate-trained, and loves car rides. She is an enthusiastic 55 pounds of love prone to the zoomies, so will need to join a family of adults or older children. She wants to be the only pet in the home so she can be your best friend for life! She loves long walks, neck scratches, and cuddles with you every day! If you would like to meet Miss Tater, please call Charice at 865-315-2989 or email charice.johnson@gmail.com [Posted 3/11/2024]

Georgia

Update Feb. 7, 2024: Georgia is in a new foster home and has lost weight. She looks so gorgeous!! We still have not had her around cats or small children, but we do believe she would be o.k. in a home with a friendly canine companion.

Georgia's owner recently passed away, and now she needs to find her new forever home. She is a very loyal companion who was by her owner's side until the end. Georgia appears to be a purebred German shepherd; she is about 6 years old, house-trained, spayed, and current on vaccines. She had a 3-year-rabies vaccine in 2022, so it is good until 2025. She has lived with another dog before, and we think she could get along with an older or mellow dog. We do not know whether or not she has been around cats or children. Please help find this precious girl her new forever home! Call Debbie at 865-321-0544. [Updated 2/7/2024]

Thin Mint

Thin Mint is a 10-month-old male neutered boy tuxedo. He came from an outside feral litter. He is sweet, but the rest of his litter wasn't as friendly. He loves other cats and is very social. He doesn't love being picked up, but it doesn't freak him out. He is a very handsome and more petite boy. He can be adopted solo if other cats in the house or with Skittles or Sweet Tart. Thin Mint is fully vaccinated as an indoor cat, neutered, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and up to date on flea/heartworm prevention. Please email critterdoc09@gmail.com for more information. [Posted 1/12/2024]

Sweet Tart

Sweet Tart is a 4-month-old male neutered orange tabby that is growing like a weed! He is littermate to Skittles and half brother to Thin Mint. He came indoors in November from an outdoor feral litter. He is the most shy of his litter. Once he is picked up, he is fine with petting and being held, but is more apt to hide if startled. He loves to play with his roommates and will do best in a quiet house with other cats. He can be adopted with a littermate as well. Within the next week, Sweet Tart will be fully vaccinated as an indoor cat. He is already neutered, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV and up to date on flea/heartworm prevention. Please email critterdoc09@gmail.com for more information. [Posted 1/12/2024]

Marmalade

Marmalade is a 5-year-old male, neutered dilute orange tabby tomcat. He is huge! He is 13 pounds lean. Marmalade was trapped and neutered as a feral cat in February of 2022 and declined to become social at that time. He was tested and vaccinated then. About 4 months ago, he changed his tune and began interacting with his food-supplier and began gradually allowing touch, to the point that he eventually allowed himself to be picked up and brought inside. Marmalade has an intermittent right front leg limp from an unknown cause. He has had this worked up and was re-tested and updated on vaccines once coming inside. He is negative on all tests and is now up to date on all vaccines as well as heartworm and flea prevention. He does well with other cats, and he is gradually warming to dogs. He could do well solo or with other cats. He has great litter-box manners and is very gentle, considering his previous outdoor life. Please email critterdoc09@gmail.com for more information. Chanel

Hi, Everyone! My name is Chanel, and I’m a full-blooded blue nose pit bull. I am spayed, and I’m 7 years old. I get along with other dogs and all humans, too. I’m great around babies and toddlers. I am housetrained, and I weigh about 42 pounds. I had an accident that has made my back legs not able to work any more, but that hasn’t stopped me from being my full-of-energy self, nor from getting around. I would love to find my new forever home with someone who has the time for me and has a back yard I can wheel around in.

Please call or text Holly at 865-201-9778 if you can give me that loving home.

Hank

Meet Hank! Hank is 4 years old. He weighs 42 pounds. He loves attention and loves to play. He is very gentle and wants all your love! He loves everyone he meets and is good with kids! He is very vocal to other dogs when in a new setting. but he has been excellent around all girl dogs and neutered male dogs. He is crate-trained and potty-trained. He loves the outdoors, but he also loves the couch. He has a cute little underbite and is genuinely such a gentle dog. Hank has been through a lot the past few months; he went through heartworm treatment recently, but he is doing great. He acts like it never affected him. He is by far the strongest dog I have witnessed. He will need to be on a heartworm preventative for the rest of his life. I can’t wait for you to meet him and to see how much of a good boy he is! To meet Hank, call 423-557-5823 or email keyara.steinmetz3@gmail.com. [Posted 11/6/2023]

Tank

Say hello to Tank! Tank is a male and he is estimated to be between 6-7 months old. Tank has had the following vaccines: rabies, distemper and kennel cough. Tank is neutered. Tank will make a great family dog! He is so sweet and playful, but more on the lazy side compared with his siblings. He can be shy at first, but warms up quickly! He would do best in a home with a fence, or a home with property. Tank has a pretty clear understanding of a crate and going potty outside. Please contact Kelly at riversidek9llc@gmail.com for an application and more information. [Posted 10/26/2023]

Little Red

Buddy

"Hey everyone! My name is Buddy! I'm a very distinguished gentleman who loves being coddled. I don't know a bad person, but I'm not a fan of other animals. They annoy me and always get in my bubble!

I'm old and don't have a lot of history behind me, and I've been passed around a lot. I don't understand why... I go out of my way to be the goodest boy, yet here I am. I'm very quiet, I don't demand walks, I don't run away! In fact, I prefer being by my hooman and lounging around. I had recently found a family that seemed to love me, and I was really happy and relieved! However, my hooman became very frail and sick and started talking about having to put me in the pound! A friend of my hooman took me in to prevent me from going to that pound, and I thank her every day with my snorty kisses!

I'm a very healthy 73-pound boy with some allergies and arthritis.... remember, I am old! My foster momma said I will go to my forever home with all the basics! A crate (which I don't need!), a bed, bowls and toys and a sweater... oh! And a huge bag of food! I would prefer a home with a big sunny yard, and I want to be the only furbaby! I do tolerate my current siblings, but that's only cause my foster momma is a firm woman that watches us like a hawk. She says all the time, "You have manners, use em!" 🙄 I do like to chew on things when I'm bored, but I won't chew on your things as long as you buy me lots of chew toys! ;)

Won't you take me home? I'm in my golden years and I wanna settle in my furever home. I'll show you love like you've never known! I may not know a lot of cool tricks, but I know sit, and leave it, and wait! If you want to know more about me, don't be afraid to reach out to my foster momma! She can answer everything!"

Buddy’s foster mom says: I don't want any money for the things going with Buddy, all I want is for him to be happy! I'm already in love with him and I know he will make someone very happy! I will be asking for a rehoming fee, which I plan to donate to SARG. I can't always answer my phone, but I always respond to texts when I'm available and I watch my emails constantly! Please reach out to me about Buddy anytime! My number is 865-202-7667 and my email is Illingworthlily@gmail.com. [Posted 7/22/2023]

NIA

Nia is a gorgeous, high-energy chow/husky mix. She loves to hike and be outside! She has a very high prey drive and will dig out of a fence at times if there is incentive (prey). She does fine with not going over a fence and so far has done very well with a woven wire fence. Nia appears housebroken and crate trained, but she is not trustworthy with cats. Nia would do best in a home with no small children/younger children, a fenced back yard, an active experienced owner, no other female dogs, likely no cats, and maybe a male dog friend. Nia gets along with two boy dogs in her foster home, but not with the largest male dog, and definitely not with the female dog in the house. Nia's history is unknown as she was a stray. However, Nia is very slow to trust men. She warms up pretty quickly to most women.

Nia already knows: sit, down, wait, drop it and leave it. She is very smart! She leash walks with a martingale collar and can easily hike up to 4 or more miles. She also loves squeaky toys and will toss them up to play. True to breed, Nia has a double coat and will shed out. She does well with brushing though and also loves belly rubs.

Nia is about 5 yrs old, up to date on vaccines, spayed, and current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Please email critterdoc09@gmail.com if you are interested in meeting Nia. [Updated 4/19/2023]

PRISSY

My name is Prissy. I need a new, wonderful home. My elderly parent just passed away in January. I am a sweet cuddle bug that has plenty of love to give. I love belly rubs and to be close to my owner. I am around 8 to 10 years old and weigh 33 lbs. I was a shelter dog, so we're not sure of my exact age. My only fault is that I need to be an only dog. I do not do well with other dogs. This makes my human sister extremely sad because she wants to keep me, but she has 3 dogs of her own. If you have room in your heart for me, I have plenty of love for you. By the way, I am used to being spoiled. You can contact my sister, Diane, at 865-924-0055. [Posted 4/14/2022]

Bobo - ADOPTION PENDING!

Bobo is a gorgeous, dark-red-and-white, short-haired pit mix. Bobo is a big 15-month-old puppy with a big heart. He is sweet and likes to have cuddles and belly rubs and loves to be petted.

BoBo LOVES kids and is super gentle with his foster mom's baby, who is just learning to walk. He is also great with dogs at home and in public , especially at the dog park! He likes to romp and play with the other dogs, but would also do well as a single dog.

Bobo knows basic commands of "sit," "get down," and "no." Bobo is potty trained and crate-trained, but he would prefer to lie on the couch or his dog bed and hang out with the family.

He still needs a little work with walking on a leash, but most of the time, he will not pull at all, even though he is still learning. He loves his toys - especially a good dog bone to chew on. His favorite healthy treat is apples.

Bobo is full of love and would love to have a new family who will give him lots of attention and make him a real part of the family. Bobo is up to date on vaccines, is heartworm-negative, and is neutered.

Here’s a little video clip of Bobo playing with his canine foster pal.

If you are interested in Bobo, please call Charice at 865-315-2989 or email at charice.johnson@gmail.com. [Updated 2/7/2024]

India - ADOPTED!

I need to rehome my pocket blue American bully. India is almost 2 years old. She is registered with the NKC, but I have not been able to transfer her paperwork to my name. She is a huge cuddle bug with a goofy personality. She loves food and toys. She weighs about 45 pounds. She is up to date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. I have to travel for work, and unfortunately my home situation has changed, leaving me with the need to rehome her. I have had her for 4 months and rescued her from living in a crate 24/7. She is a beautiful, loving dog who loves to play and get attention from people. India is good with dogs and curious about cats, but doesn’t seem to want to hurt them. She has not really been around small children, but she is fine with older kids.

Blue - ADOPTED!

Meet Blue! Blue is a female and she is estimated to be between 6-7 months old. Blue has had the following vaccines: rabies, distemper and kennel cough. Blue is spayed. Blue is full of energy and would be best suited in an active home, with a fenced in yard or a farm where she could learn to have a job. She is a sweet girl, who needs a family with patience as she settles into her new surroundings. Blue has a pretty clear understanding of a crate and going potty outside. Please contact Kelly at riversidek9llc@gmail.com for an application and more information. [Posted 10/26/2023]

Robby - ADOPTED!

Robby is a very chill 10½ year old Maine Coon/Tabby mix boy.  He also does very well with friendly dogs.  Robby has grown up as an indoor-only cat, is neutered and is not declawed.  He weighs in at a healthy 13 pounds.  [Posted 2/14/2024]

BOB - ADOPTED!

Helloooooo nice person! I'm Bob! You say you're looking for a dog??? That's amazing! Because I am a dog! You say you knew that? That you came here to the rescue group looking for ME? Truly? You saw me on Facebook or Petfinder when your friend shared my link on their page, and said I was a handsome, old boy in Tennessee who needed someone JUST LIKE THEM to be totally happy for the rest of his life? Well, isn't that amazing! I guess that means we're going to be best friends FOREVER!

Bob is a 10-years-young Lab and hound mix and is living at a boarding kennel where he was abandoned 4 years ago. It just so happens that this kennel is owned by one of the best trainers in the region, so Bob is complety trained, and some lessons will be included in his adoption at no extra charge. Bob is neutered, up to date on vaccines, energetic, happy-go-lucky, and has loads of love and affection to give. If you think you are able to give Bob the family that he has always wanted, please give us a call. Charice Davis 865-315-2989 or email charice.johnson@gmail.com. [Posted 4/19/2022]

Jet - ADOPTED!

Jet is a 65-pound hunk of love! He's one of the sweetest dogs I've ever fostered. He loves to get affection, and he returns it with gentle chin kisses. The vet estimates he's about a year old. He is easy-going and polite. Jet adores dogs and people of all ages and does well with dogs of all personalities. He is completely non-reactive to grouchy dogs (like my Chihuahua). He has no food aggression and is happy to share his bones and antlers. He does very well with routine. He has never pottied inside. Not once. When Jet is inside, he's nosey. He likes to take things to his space. I've caught him with a roll of paper towels, a decoration, and a rug. He has defloofed one dog bed. He does very well inside his kennel and never makes a sound. He sleeps all night. He's a goofball at times, and I catch him entertaining himself, tossing toys around and retrieving them. My husband has him regularly retrieving a training dummy; he caught onto that real fast! If Jet is left alone outside in our dog yard (six-foot fence), he will bark for some company. When I put some of my dogs with him, he doesn't make a sound or cause any trouble whatsoever. We are working with his leash manners, and he's learning. His instinct is to pull, and he's STRONG. He does respond to, "Eh eh eh...easy!" with a little jerk of the leash; he listens very well. Jet is tall and can jump our four-foot fence that surrounds our house. We've had to go find him twice. Lessons learned--Jet MUST HAVE a six-foot fence that he cannot jump. A five-foot fence may work if it's a privacy fence. He is so very precious and will be worth the fence requirement. I really cannot say enough good things about this smart, beautiful boy! Please contact Amy Starkey at (865)705-0386 or email awstarkey@yahoo.com if you are interested in Jet. [Posted 1/28/2024]

Skittles - ADOPTED!

Skittles is a 4-month-old female spayed torti girl. She came from a feral litter of four that have been indoors since November. She has come out of her shell very nicely and is more social, loves food, and will allow pets and cuddles. She does well with other cats and would do best in a quiet house with other cats. She has seen and been around dogs but would take time to warm up to a dog. Within the next week, Skittles will be fully vaccinated as an indoor cat. She is already spayed, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV and up to date on flea/heartworm prevention. Please email critterdoc09@gmail.com for more information. [Posted 1/12/2024]

Cheese Whiz - ADOPTED!

Cheese Whiz is a 1-year-old boy. He was neutered a few months ago, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and was vaccinated for indoors. He is current on flea and heartworm prevention. This boy is sweet as pie! You can carry him around and he is quite content. He loves belly rubs, toys, food (still a lean boy), and will wind in between your legs. Cheese Whiz is good with other cats and seems unfazed by dogs. He is looking for an indoor only home. He should be fine with children as well, as his previous location had children. He also has very good litter box habits. Email critterdoc09@gmail.com. [Posted 8/21/2023]

Paris - ADOPTED!

Meet Paris.

A beautiful, young, pure white neutered male with soulful light green eyes. Paris is a very loving, curious and active kitty. He loves sitting in the window, chasing shadows and playing with his laser and feather wand. He loves to get up on your lap to be petted or snuggle next to you when you are lying down. His inability to hear does not deter him whatsoever, but he absolutely MUST be an indoor kitty. He responds to vibration and flickering of light. He will make an amazing long-term companion to preferably someone who is home more than not. He does not get along with other cats but will flourish being the only kitty in the home. He does do well with a dog. [Posted 9/21/2023]

Scrappy - ADOPTED!

London would love to be your girl and new best friend. With a larger-than-life personality and her desire to please, she is a superstar! London has mad skills and is a dancing queen too. She gets so happy when she is let outside to go potty, that she dances on her back legs all the way out the door -- you might say she can be your very own Little Pony! London has been in her foster home for several months after living her life on a chain, and she has learned to be part of a family and has been recovering from heartworms. She is one happy baby now! London is potty-trained, has learned to live indoors, and has great manners. She has even learned how to sit, stay, and wait. She is crate-trained, even though it isn't her favorite; you see, she is a #1 snuggler and wants to be with her people on the couch!
